Where the appeal actually lives
Appeals are not made through your messaging platform, and there is no API for them. They are made in Meta Business Suite: All tools, then Business Support Home, where each violation against your business appears with the policy it cites.
Read the violation before appealing it. It names the policy and the account, and it tells you whether the decision can be appealed at all — which decides whether an appeal is the right move or a wasted 48 hours.
- Sign in to Meta Business Suite as someone with admin access to the business portfolio.
- All tools → Business Support Home.
- Select the account, then the violation.
- Request Review, and submit the supporting detail.
What the decision looks like
The outcome is binary. Meta reviews the appeal against the policy it cited, and the violation is either left Unchanged or set to Reversed. There is no partial outcome and no negotiation.
The decision comes back through Business Manager, typically within 24 to 48 hours.
“The appeal review decision will be sent via Business Manager and typically takes 24 to 48 hours. The appealed violation will either remain Unchanged or be set as Reversed.”
What to put in it
An appeal argues one thing: that the messages complied with the policy Meta cited. It is not an apology, and it is not a promise about the future — those do not bear on whether the cited violation was correct.
So the useful material is evidence of the practice behind the sends: how consent was collected and what it said, what the message actually was, and who it went to. If your consent record is a spreadsheet nobody can date, that is worth knowing before you appeal rather than after.
- How opt-in was collected, and the exact wording people agreed to.
- The template as submitted, and the category it was submitted under.
- Who the audience was and where it came from.
- Anything that shows the recipients expected to hear from you.
What we can and cannot do
We cannot appeal on your behalf beyond helping you prepare the submission. The appeal is made by an admin of your business portfolio in Meta’s own console, and the decision is Meta’s alone. Any vendor claiming a channel into that process is describing something that does not exist.
What we can do is help you assemble the evidence: the wording as approved, the audience as sent, and the per-recipient delivery record for the campaign in question.
